What to Expect

Arrival…

Visiting a church for the first time can be awkward, especially if you don’t know anyone or what to expect when you get there. We hope that you will feel welcomed from the moment you drive into the parking lot.  You will find visitor parking located just outside the main doors.  Come inside and join us for a cup of coffee before the worship service begins at 10:00 am.  Someone will likely be standing near the door to greet you and help you with any questions you might have. Feel free to come as you are. You will find most people dress casually.   If you like dressing up, that’s great too.  We are a diverse group of people – multicultural and multigenerational.

Kids…

Our nursery and preschool rooms are located down the hall to your right.  You can drop young children off at 9:50, before service begins.  Our elementary aged children stay with parents in the worship service until the sermon. Of course if you want to keep kids with you in the service that is fine too – we love children and honestly the little bit of noise they make is not a problem.

Worship…

We think you will find our services are relaxed and our people are very friendly.  We will worship together through singing, prayer, scripture reading, and a sermon.  We have a worship band with a variety of instruments.  Most of our music is from the current decade but we like to sprinkle in some classic hymns of the faith too.  Some people raise their hands in worship and others prefer to keep their hands in their pockets so whatever is comfortable for you is good.  Our sermons typically track verse by verse through a book of the Bible.  They are usually 30-45 minutes in length and they are focused on explaining the meaning of the scripture we are studying for the day.  Typically, we celebrate communion together on the second Sunday of each month.  This is open to all Christ followers.

Meals…

If you visit with us on a week when we share a meal together, you came on the best Sunday possible.  Please plan to stay and fellowship together over lunch after the worship service. There is always plenty of food.  We typically share a meal on the first Sunday of each month.  If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us through the website. We’d love to hear from you!

Lastly…

If you are looking for a church where you will be encouraged to place your faith in Jesus and also to go deeper in your walk with Him, then you have come to the right place. At Faith Community church I believe you will find a group of Christ followers who are Bible-based, Christ-centered, multigenerational, multicultural, and mission-driven.

You can’t grasp everything about us from our website or in just one visit. Come worship and hang out with us for a month. Email or give me a call and let’s do coffee. I’d love to get to know you better and see you become a part of our Faith family.
