Connecting with God
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40
Our worship services are God focused and doctrinally sound. Our music style is a contemporary blend. We strive to lean toward the next generation while respecting the past generations as we love God and love each other.
You will hear sermons that engage your heart, mind, and soul. We believe sermons should use Biblical exposition, going verse by verse through scripture, while also having real life application.
Connecting with each other
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts 2:42-47
We believe that spiritual growth happens best in community groups. Community groups give opportunities for prayer, spiritual care, fellowship, eating together, and growing deeper in our faith.
We provide a safe and fun environment for kids to grow spiritually and relationally while parents are doing the same. While we believe the Bible is clear that parents are primarily responsible to spiritually raise children, we also take seriously our role as a church to lovingly support the family in this calling.
Connecting with the world
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
We live out the Great Commission in light of the Great Commandment. We believe our mission is to make disciples by impacting Garner with the love of Jesus through kindness outreach, service, and sharing the Good News of Christ.
We are a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and we support global outreach through giving, praying, and going. We endeavor to have close relationships with the international workers we support.
